About Summer Term at Cal Poly

Summer Term 2019 will provide a variety of undergraduate and graduate classes in 4 sessions for matriculated Cal Poly students, visiting students from across the nation, new and continuing nondegree students, and students engaged in international experiences. Students can take courses from all six of Cal Poly's colleges as well as those offered by Extended Education.

Current Cal Poly Students

If you are a matriculated Cal Poly student, the focus for Summer Term 2019 is to offer you the opportunity to complete or accelerate progress toward your degree.

Visiting Students

If you are currently attending another university, but are considering Cal Poly for Summer Term 2019, you will find that the Central Coast of California offers the perfect balance of educational, cultural and recreational activities. Besides being able to study at one of California's great universities, you'll be near incredible beaches, experience the ambiance of San Luis Obispo, all while in the heart of Central Coast wine county. Registration as a visiting student is easy through Open University.

Community Classes

Members of the larger community are also invited to study and learn at Cal Poly during the summer term. The more relaxed environment in summer makes it a great time to update skills in your current career or prepare for a new profession. Your options include enrolling in academic credit classes through Open University or taking noncredit classes offered either in a traditional classroom setting or online.
