Agricultural Education Summer

Enrollment Instructions:
1. Create a profile at calpoly.augusoft.net
2. Contact Extended Education Office at 805-756-2053 to submit an enrollment request. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

NOTE:

  • Students can enroll in maximum 2 classes in these series of courses.
  • Classes will run 6/17 - 7/5. Final projects are due 7/5/19.

The Department of Agricultural Education and Communication offers the following courses this summer:

AGED S537 - Enhancing Instruction in Agricultural Biology

Teaching methods of important biological concepts using agriculture as the context. Assisting agriculture teachers in identifying propre pedagogical strategies to integrate activities and laboratories into existing agriculture biology courses, including leadership development opportunities and activities. Emphasis on appropriate teaching methods and techniques, curriculum integration and application, and classroom resources.

AGED S570-01 - Agricultural Mechanics Curriculum Development

Directed group study of selected topics for advanced students. Open to undergraduate and graduate students. The Class Schedule will list topic selected. Total credit limited to 12 units. 1 to 4 seminars. Prerequisite: Graduate standing or consent of instructor.
